East Coast

The Eastern Coast encompasses the open coastline along the Pacific Ocean between Jucuarán in Usulután and the outer beaches of La Unión. It is a region of dark volcanic sand, coves, rock formations, and right-hand breaks, featuring notable destinations such as Punta Mango, Las Flores, El Cuco, and Las Tunas. El Cuco hosts a good portion of the accommodations, restaurants, and services for exploring the corridor, while Punta Mango and Las Flores primarily attract surfers. The sea conditions vary between beaches, so it's advisable to choose each spot according to the visitor's experience. Part of the region is included in Surf City Circuit 2, developed to improve road access to this sector of eastern El Salvador.
