About Eramón Hill
Natural viewpoint in the north of Chalatenango, at an altitude of 937 meters. From the summit, you can see the reservoirs of Cerrón Grande and 5 de Noviembre, the Lempa River, the Sumpul River, and on clear days, the volcanoes of San Salvador, Chichontepec, Guazapa, Chaparrastique, and Izalco.

Brief History
The hill is located in the district of Nombre de Jesús, in northern Chalatenango. Its value lies not in its height but in its position: being isolated above the Lempa Valley, it offers an uncommon 360-degree view of the country, encompassing a large part of the volcanic mountain range and the two largest hydroelectric reservoirs in El Salvador. It has become a popular spot for hiking and camping due to its breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.
