Brief History

The park is part of the network of tourist centers of the Salvadoran Tourism Institute. In October 2025, it reopened after a complete renovation that added new pools, cabins for overnight stays, restaurants, and universal accessibility, with the aim of making it a benchmark for family tourism on the coast. Shortly after, it received the Family Friendly Seal, and its cabins achieved full occupancy during the year-end holidays.
