Turtle Island

Tortuga Island is a small island in the Jiquilisco Bay, located in Usulután, within the mangrove complex of the estuary. It can be reached by boat from Puerto El Triunfo, as part of a tour of the bay. Surrounded by mangroves, it serves as a nesting area for birds and sea turtles. There is no commercial development, so it's advisable to bring water and cash. Its value lies in the stunning mangrove landscape and the wildlife of the bay.
